Uzbek Association of consulting engineers (UZACE) held a seminar on "Up-to-date requirements to contracts (review of International Federation of Consulting Engineers - FIDIC books)." The seminar was delivered in the Conference room of the academic Board of the Tashkent Institute of Railway Engineers on 18 August, 2011. The seminar was designed for enterprises and organizations` directors, decision-making experts who are responsible for the design, negotiate and review contracts and provided an opportunity to enhance their skills in applying the practice of FIDIC in the company`s activities.

 Objectives of the seminar:

 - Introduce characteristics of FIDIC books to participants;

- Inform about the basic processes and procedures required to prepare and conduct contract agreement to perform construction, based on FIDIC procedures;

- Reveal issues and "pitfalls" that arise in the negotiation and implementation of contracts;

- Illuminate the issues and case studies that improve safety and economic efficiency of projects.

Upon the seminar completion all participants were awarded with Certificate about participation.
