On November 7-8, 2009, Federation of Consultants from Islamic Countries held an Extra-ordinary General assembly Meeting in Istanbul, Turkey. Representatives from UZACE and other Uzbek Consulting companies, together with another 40 delegates from Islamic world participated in number of debates and meetings, where amongst the others, representation of Central Asian Consulting Industry at the Federation, were discussed.
The Federation of Consultants from Islamic Countries (FCIC) was founded in 1986 in Istanbul under the patronage of the
Islamic Development Bank
(IDB) and hosted by Turkish Government with the participation of about 20 Countries from the Members of the
Organization of the Islamic Conference
(OIC).
FCIC members currently has a strength of about 130 organizations from 23 countries, representing leading consulting firms in their countries and in their regions. They have integrated experience and capabilities enabling them to provide all necessary consulting services for different projects.
The FCIC hopes that with the efforts of its Members, that it will be able to achieve its objectives and work on the development of the consultancy profession in member countries with the belief that the consulting profession would be a milestone for the sustainable development, especially in the developing countries.
