UZACE TOGETHER WITH ICAK ORGANIZES UZBEK-KOREAN SEMINAR


To further expand mutually beneficial cooperation between the Uzbek Association of Consulting Engineers (UZACE) and the International Contractors Association of Korea (ICAK), supported by the Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs of the Republic of Korea, from 2 to 4 November 2009, Uzbek-Korean seminar on the status of the construction sector in Uzbekistan, the possibility of co-operation of Korean companies with their counterparts in Uzbekistan in the construction sector the water projects in Uzbekistan was held in Seoul, South Korea.

At the seminar were invited the representatives of the State Committee for Architecture and Construction of Republic of Uzbekistan, Ministries of Agriculture, the Mayor Office of Tashkent city.

Over 150 participants representing more than 100 Korean construction companies, corporations and associations from Korea participated the seminar.

The Uzbek delegation presented information on the status of the construction market of Uzbekistan, its trends, and possible modalities for the possible participation of foreign companies in the construction of major facilities on the territory of Uzbekistan.

Korean partners have expressed their interest in studying the construction market in Uzbekistan. Korean partners, on the other hand, provided information about the development of construction sector in the Republic of Korea and showed members of Uzbek delegation, several construction projects in Seoul city.
