Agrobank develops ties with ADB
Agrobank (former Pakhtabank) has been developing cooperation with the Asian Development Bank in supporting businesses in Uzbekistan, including small enterprises and farmers.

The funds provided by the ADB have been used for development of small and private enterprises in rural areas, as well as financing large investment projects.

Since 2001, more than 170 agricultural producers have received long-term credits from three credit lines of the ADB for a total sum of over $25.2 million, UzA reported.

Within one project, which aimed at increasing grain crop capacity, 93 farms in Jizzakh, Tashkent and Samarkand regions were financed. In Surkhandarya region, Amuzang canal was restored, and 60 agricultural producers were able to increase production of crops.
